in terms of education, access to opportunities and jobs.

In our AI in Africa cycle, we partnered with 6 underserved communities in South Africa with the intention of exposing young minds to technology and showcase upcoming talent.

AI in Africa Program Goals

We provide an enabling environment that creates awareness and removes barriers for underrepresented youth to gain entry into AI and envision their role in creating the future.

We support and encourage girls to be women in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths).

During a 3-day girls only bootcamp, participating girls embarked on an intensive and holistic curated programme consisting of:

Ethics in AI

Pitching & Presentation Skills

Our participants gain the life-long skill of public speaking and pitching. Standing before diverse panels of judges ranging from business leaders to entrepreneurs across different industries, the teams competed for the opportunity to compete for a grand prize at the end of the cycle.

Participants were offered support and coaching by senior business mentors from leading corporates.

Our environment encourages our mentors to share real-life insights from their organisations and feed those into the solution design process.

UNDP - SDG Based Challenges & Solutions

Our challenges are based on the UNDP’s (Sustainable Development Goals) SGDs. Participants learn how to use design thinking and artificial intelligence to solve community problems.
