Mrs. Gugu Motlanthe

Trustee of the Kgalema Motlanthe Foundation.

Mrs. Motlanthe is the former first lady of the Republic of South Africa and a trustee of the Kgalema Motlanthe Foundation.

She is hard at work on a full-time basis, at the Kgalema Motlanthe Foundation (KMF) where her energies are focused on youth developmental projects, capacity building, the 4IR (Fourth Industrial Revolution)music, leadership, and fundraising.

She is a Social Democrat at heart who currently spearheads one of the fundamental programs of the foundation in dialogue among equals to promote social cohesion.

Professor Des Laubscher

Des Laubscher is a Past President and Fellow of the International Federation of Interior Architects/Designers. (IFI) He founded and is a Past President of the African Institute for the Interior Design Professions. (IID). He has presented papers around the world on many design issues and is an acclaimed international speaker.
He is at present a Vice President of the International Council of Design, based in Montreal representing the interests of design organizations in 66 countries around the world.

She has a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws degrees from the University of the Witwatersrand and is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa.Her experience includes advising clients on systems integration projects, as well as other information and communications technology (“ICT”) projects.

In his current role in the Sales team as a Technical Solution Specialist in Data and AI, he is responsible for assisting the customer in understanding the platform and services that are available in Azure to help customers deliver solutions to solve business problems.

Charlene joined Microsoft in February 2008 and is currently the Philanthropies lead for Microsoft, involved with various youth development programmes and empowering NGO’s to use technology through our software donation programme and grants to impact more lives in the communities and the people they work with. She is also the project manager for a youth programme to train 1 million youth in South Africa over the next 3 years in digital and computer science skills in partnership with government and the private sector.

Prior to joining Microsoft, she works for a number of years at Accenture as a management consultant, developing skills in large IT systems implementation projects, change management, transformation strategies and later joined the HR team at Accenture as the Professional Development Lead.

Tebogo Peter Tariq “Lepito33”  Mogola is a South African born and bred in a hood called Mamelodi in Pretoria where the bar is set high by Political struggle icon “Kalushi” and “Mamelodi Sundowns” having been involved more than a decade on the frontlines of African entertainment content and creative production.

The Safta winning Creative is the former The Senior Creative Manager for Viacom Africa (He worked with brands like MTV, MTV Base, BET, Comedy Central, and Nickelodeon) and Co-Director of Sneaker Exchange (SXC_ZA), Mogola has always been passionate about collecting sneakers.

He is currently a partner at Don’t Look Down Productions

Maurizio Santamicone is a Data Scientist, Computer Scientist, Startup Founder and Investor.
He has 20+ years consulting career on international projects in telecoms and owns startups.
Today he helps companies drive toward the future using data science and machine learning, by deriving the maximum benefit from their investments. He helps them build and evolve their data strategies, identify and scope critical ML projects, advise them on best practices and help them grow their own internal data capabilities.
He is also passionate about community involvement, and he actively participates in social initiatives and co-founded a non-profit organization that organizes fundraising events for disadvantaged children.

Janice V. Jonathan

TISA & Director in Department of Trade and Industry

Ms. Jonathan, after having completed her Masters in International Business and Masters in Commerce, majoring in International Entrepreneurship, while on scholarship at the University of Sydney, has become an expert in local and international trade and investment promotion under the auspices of South Africa’s Department of Trade and Industry.

She is currently the Acting Chief Operating Officer for Trade and Investment South Africa. To her credit, she has led numerous successful international trade promotion initiatives in emerging markets in South America and has successfully implemented President Ramaphosa’s Trade and Investment Programme on the margins of the United Nations General Assembly in 2018.

She has extensive experience within export marketing, small business development, investment facilitation, business development, export management, international marketing, incentive administration, as well as Industrial Policy Development at the DTI.

She is passionate about developing the next generation of female leaders.
