Mrs. Gugu Motlanthe

Trustee of the Kgalema Motlanthe Foundation.

Mrs. Motlanthe is the former first lady of the Republic of South Africa and a trustee of the Kgalema Motlanthe Foundation.

She is hard at work on a full-time basis, at the Kgalema Motlanthe Foundation (KMF) where her energies are focused on youth developmental projects, capacity building, the 4IR (Fourth Industrial Revolution)music, leadership, and fundraising.

She is a Social Democrat at heart who currently spearheads one of the fundamental programs of the foundation in dialogue among equals to promote social cohesion.

Des Laubscher is a Past President and Fellow of the International Federation of Interior Architects/Designers. (IFI) He founded and is a Past President of the African Institute for the Interior Design Professions. (IID). He has presented papers around the world on many design issues and is an acclaimed international speaker.
He is at present a Vice President of the International Council of Design, based in Montreal representing the interests of design organizations in 66 countries around the world.

Dr. Vikki (nee Du Preez) Eriksson is a lecturer, focusing on design evolution and theories that influence modern design practice. She works with colleagues as part of Idea Collective and is a tenured member of staff at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology. Her main research interest is in the user experience and service design fields.

Rakhee specialises in technology, data privacy, cybersecurity, electronic communications, outsourcing, information technology (“IT”), advertising regulations, social media and broadcasting. She has a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws degrees from the University of the Witwatersrand and is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa.Her experience includes advising clients on systems integration projects, as well as other information and communications technology (“ICT”) projects.

Since taking the helm 3 years ago, PayU has dramatically grown its total E-commerce Processing Volume, and revenue, whilst costs have reduced significantly during her tenure. All this whilst balancing personal life – Karen started her position as CEO having just returned from
maternity leave after 4 months. Originally starting out as a Java developer in a small development house in Cape Town many years ago, Karen’s industry experience, mostly abroad, ranges from FTSE 100 companies, and large multi-nationals, until she decided it was time to move back to beautiful Cape Town where she started at PayU.
